We hope you’ve enjoyed your summer break. Today is September 1st and that means it’s time for the students to return to the halls of McKnight and get back into the busy school routines. It also means it’s time for the PTSA to gear up to start helping the staff and students kick-start another fabulous year.

We’d like to thank everyone who helped out at Lancer Days and the Teacher Breakfast.

Our 6th graders will be entering the halls and beginning their Middle School years tomorrow. The 7th & 8th graders will join them on Thursday. Encourage your child to have a positive attitude about learning new subjects, making new friends and sharing their new experiences with you.

Mark your calendars and join us for the first General Membership meeting and PTSA Social this Thursday, 9/3 at 7pm in the Commons where we'll be serving desserts and coffee. Our intent is to keep business short and leave plenty of time to get to know each other and discuss ways to cope with these exciting and challenging times for our children.

Calling all volunteers: we need help with Picture Retakes on 9/14. If you’re available to help, please contact Valerie Dascil at dascilv@hotmail.com.

Stop by the PTSA table during Open House on 9/22 to learn how you can help out or what's happening this year. And, please don’t forget to turn in your 2009/10 Membership Form.

PTSA is a nationally recognized organization and supports McKnight Middle School in Legislation, Cool 2B Clean Party, Health Screening, 8th Grade Reception and Celebration, Reflections and Staff Appreciation.

Our meetings are open to all parents, feel free to drop in. We welcome you to become a McKnight PTSA member to be a voice for our children, who need us more than you may know.
