Why Lindbergh High School PTSA?

Lindbergh High School's PTSA provides a liaison function between key elements of daily life for students, faculty and families of Lindbergh High School.

  • Participation in Renton Council -- giving voice and priority to LHS needs from the Renton School District (liaison for sharing "Good News" items, discussion of capital activities like our new roof, sign, fields, etc.)

  • Leverage of Washington State and area PTA activities (such as the Reflections program) into our school community.

  • Coordinating volunteers for events that support faculty during peak workloads -- pot-luck's for start of school, conferences, Teacher Appreciation.

  • Communication - periodic email of key events from school, LHS Boosters, Grad Night Committees and other information for students, family, and faculty.

The fundraising activities PTA's typically do at elementary and middle schools are managed (extremely well!) by the LHS Boosters.  The LHS PTSA fills the communication, support, and promotion gaps, allowing faculty and Boosters to do what they do best.  Joining the PTSA simply means you're supporting these additional activities -- requiring little (or no) time commitment; just the initial small fees to keep the extra programs funded.  Anyone interested in how the fees are spent are welcome to inquire by emailing LHSPTSA2011@live.com.

"I used to join the PTA’s to help out with the tons of extra activities needing parent support at the elementary or middle school.  In High School, the students are largely self supported, and if there are additional needs, the LHS Booster club is very active."

"I join the LHS PTSA because I appreciate and want to support the communication they do for us, they represent LHS for district activities that I’d rather not go to myself…and they coordinate some of the nice added touches – recognition for achievements, teacher appreciation, a lot of the little things I’d otherwise not pay any attention to.
