A message about Focus day on January 18th
Happy New Year from Renton PTA Council and welcome back to school! January will be a busy month for PTAs. We have our Reflections award ceremony this Thursday, 7 pm at the IKEA Performing Arts Center. Join us to see some amazing artwork and find out who will go on to represent Renton at the state level. Focus Day, our statewide PTA lobby day, is January 18th (*Martin Luther King Jr. Day) in Olympia and we hope that you are planning on attending. We need to show up in large numbers to show legislators that we want them to support education. State PTA is organizing the event and will make it easy for you, you just have to show up! Stay tuned for further updates or go here to register or for more information. Our next meeting is January 25, 7 pm in the Board room at the KEC administration building. We also need your support, please come! Any member is welcome to represent your local unit. Be sure to mark March 29th on your calendars for our annual Founder's Day scholarship auction! Every local unit is asked to contribute an auction basket and administrators are invited to join us, as well as past officers and community members. Your basket does not have to be big. we suggest you think of a theme and ask members to contribute an item each. This is a really fun event and a great opportunity to network with other PTA members and administrators.
Does anyone have extra membership cards
they can lend to Hillcrest PTA? They are back ordered at state and the
folks at Hillcrest are anxious to get them out to their members. If you
have some to spare, please bring them to our meeting on January 25th or
you can send them via the intra-district mail through the school office.
Make sure to identify your PTA so they can get some back to you when
they arrive from state.
